From Thursday 26 November 2026 to Sunday 17 January 2027, Amsterdam hosts the fifteenth edition of Amsterdam Light Festival. The anniversary celebrates fifteen years of light art in the city. Artists from the Netherlands and abroad share what they want to say to Amsterdam’s residents and visitors.
Twenty light artworks have been selected for this edition, with a new route to explore from the water or on foot. The festival will announce further details about the individual artworks and the additional programme.
The artworks are lit daily from 4.30 pm to 11 pm. On 31 December, the lights go off at 9 pm. Choose a heated saloon boat for a private cruise and add drinks or dinner; we agree the duration of your trip when you book.
