The Marie Zurlohe was lovely and all that I had expected, as I had seen it in person during the day on a previous trip. I chose it for its size and the fact it's an antique boat with beautiful details. I was happy we had only 7 people as 8 would have been too tight. My efforts to learn the identity of Marie Zurlohe have been unsuccessful! The food and drinks were excellent and the interior charming with comfortable seating and lovely night time views. The hostess was friendly and responsive, but one guest commented as that for hygenic reasons she should tie her blond hair back while serving food. The captain was polite, professional and responsive to texts. We appreciated the welcome you offered us with the free on the house drink. The area leading to the dinner table was cluttered and could have been cleaner. All in all it was an enjoyable experience and perfect as a first welcoming event for our small art tour group. I would in the future take the boat during the day as it would be easier to see the landmarks and would welcome at the point a more in depth commentary on the main sites if that is what you do. A friend from Amsterdam told me that on one boat the skipper didn't stop talking leaving him little time to have with friends. I did not know what to expect and now I know. Next time I would plan future bookings with the same boat during the day.

Both the captain and hostess were fantastic. We rented the boat for my family to see the Amsterdam Light Festival while being protected from the elements. We had a lovely time sailing and hearing about Amsterdam and the different exhibitions. It was the perfect evening.

This is our third time hiring this boat, which we really enjoy as an authentic and cozy options for small groups. We also like haveing a captain and host(ess) on board, so that we can relax with our guests. The price is of course in line with the luxury provided and would be prohibitive for most people we know.
